Logic and Lore is the practice of Stephen Kim, an award-winning industrial designer, architect, and project leader. Stephen has spent his career working at the intersection of engineering precision and human experience, with a particular focus on work where the stakes are real: healthcare, wellness, accessibility, and the spaces where people live and move.

Through Logic and Lore and eight years as a Principal Industrial Design Lead at IDEO — in Palo Alto, Shanghai, Munich, Austin, and Tokyo — Stephen has created products and solutions for The Dorchester Collection, Air New Zealand, Medtronic, Clark Realty, Stanford Hospital, Philips, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, Dell Medical School, Samsung, and numerous Silicon Valley startups.

Stephen holds over a dozen patents, many as primary inventor. His work has received two Red Dot Awards and IDEA gold, silver, and bronze awards.
